Fake nature of information: on the question of the limits of the competence of expert linguist

The introduction of legal novelties related to the dissemination false (fake) information raises question role an expert linguist in such cases, since we are talking about speech offences. Based on methodological materials Ministry Justice Russian Federation, as well her own practice, author article determines limits competence linguist, but at same time demonstrates possibility expanding them communicatively and legally. Purpose is determine cases information, point out legally justified their expansion. Methods include empirical methods description, interpretation; theoretical formal dialectical logic. Results: 1) expert-linguist determined; 2) possibilities for demonstrated communicative justification.
